"Greenest" Historic Office Building in US

Davis & Green partnered with Dovetail Construction to help renovate a former electric railway car barn originally built in 1907 in Richmond, VA. Our goals were to have it listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and to obtain the highest level of LEED certification (Platinum). The result was a net zero energy commercial office that was both inspirational and fun. What was arguably one of the least energy efficient buildings in Virginia, was turned into one of the most energy efficient in the country.
